No Sooner Did I Put Up That Last Post When...

Dear Friends:

No sooner did I put up my last when Google popped the follwing ad up on my screen (before I had quite gotten around to posting on another blog). Firstly, it was not relevent. Secondly, and as I've noted before, it saddens me to think that a goodly percentage of the persons stumbling upon this ad think it might be for a dating service or a social club. Cry the beloved country.

The lesson to be learned is that you get irrelevant or downright dangerous results generated from a poorly-crafted search algorithm. Ever wonder why I don't permit Google ads on my sites? Three years ago, I had written an article debunking some of the myths associated with hypnosis; the objective was to explain that all hypnosis is essentially self-hypnosis, and that you cannot be forced to do something, or reveal something which you do not wish to reveal during an ordinary trance (i.e., standard induction, reasonably normal individual, no drugs, chemicals or equipment involved).

Within an hour, a friend telephoned me and said that Google had put an ad on my site for "BLACK OPS HYPNOSIS: Secrets of Controlling Others Revealed" I ditched them after that.
